OUR YURTS Our yurts are circular, Mongolian-style domed tents. We have three 16 feet in diameter and one 20 feet in diameter with plywood floors, hardwood lattice sidewalls and a clear Plexiglas skylight. These fully insulated shelters are designed to withstand high winds, snow loads and summer heat. They have a framed-in lockable wood door and windows with screens and storm flaps. Covered entirely by waterproof canvas, the yurts are an aesthetically pleasing and comfortable place to stay, even in the dead of winter.
The 16 foot (201 square feet) Kenai yurts comes with:
2. Wood stove 3. Lamp 4. Futon with mattress (bring your own linens and/or sleeping bags). 5. Table with chairs for games or meals. 6. Stove for heating water or making coffee. 7. There is a very well maintained out house. 8. 1-5 gallon Solar shower. 9. A camp kitchen with a sink.
12. 1-frying pan, 1- sauce pan with lid, and 1 camp coffee pot. 13. 1-5 gallon water container to bring water from the well to the yurt. 14. A place to have a small campfire with table and grill. 15. 2 lawn chairs. 16. Broom and dust pan. The 20 foot (314 square feet) Kenai yurt comes with: 1. Water and electricity. 2. Wood stove 3. Lamp 4. Queen sized bed with bedding and a double sized Futon without bedding. (Sleeps 4 comfortably, max 6). 5. Satellite TV. 6. Portable toilet. (there is also a very well maintained out house). 7. Table with chairs for games or meals. 8. Dresser 9. Microwave 10. A one burner stove and a 2 basin sink with running water. 11. A small refrigerator with freezer. 12. A 5 gallon Solar shower. 13. A set of 4 cups, bowls, plates, silverware, large spoon, and a spatula. 14. 1-frying pan, 1- sauce pan with lid, and 1 camp coffee pot. 15. A place to have a small campfire with table and grill. 16. 2 lawn chairs. 17. Broom and dust pan. Things you might want to bring: Sleeping bag or blanket. This you need. Yes our yurts have a source of heat but Alaska summers can be chilly. 1 or 2 one pound bottles of propane. We leave at least 2 bottles in each yurt but you never know if the person before you wasn't kind enough to replace what they used. A cooler. Water -- yes you have access to water but you might want some bottled water instead. Deck of cards or some games. (sorry - no TVs in the 16 foot yurts). Bug spray. You should already have this if you have spent more than one day in Alaska. |

July: Daily rate is $85 (double occupancy) plus $5 each additional occupant per yurt (max 6 occupants), plus 3% sales tax. 15% discount for Alaskan residents and Military SAVE 10% by booking before May 1st.
